Special note – Planned while at Simply Perfect Weddings.
October is a stunning time in Queenstown – with the days becoming longer, blossoms almost every where you look and the last of the winter snow still covering the mountain’s shoulders. Again, it’s another really special reminder of how lucky it is to be a Queenstown wedding planner!
Ash and Ryan’s brief was to create an ‘English Cottage Garden’ even in the crisp temperatures of springtime for their intimate Queenstown wedding. Working alongside the lovely and talented Sarah of The Flower Room, the gardens at Stoneridge Estate were filled with a soft palette of colours and a full, gorgeous aroma of flowers. Ash wore a delicate Grace Loves Lace gown, accented with gorgeous vintage-inspired jewellery including an art-deco ruby ring and drop earrings. Ryan looked dashing in a navy suit jacket with a subtle plaid design, which paired well with Ash’s blue faux-fur coat of dreams for up in the fresh mountain air.
Strong winds initially stalled Ash and Ryan’s helicopter adventure but good fortune had the sun come out and clouds part just as they were heading to the airport for take off. Flying out into the Southern Alps to Mt Vanguard provided a breath-taking setting for their portrait session, with mountains upon mountains to look over, and snow to play in. The newly-weds then returned to Akarua and Artisan for an intimate dinner with family. Thanks to Jen from Alpine Image Co for capturing such a beautiful story for us to share.
Sending love, joy, laughter and adventure always to the Ash and Ryan – it was such a pleasure to create this day with you. Congratulations!!!
