The sweetest Niro and Shamaun planned an intimate Queenstown destination wedding with their family and closest friends. Wanting something just as special and beautiful as a big wedding back home, they chose a beautiful ceremony location with lake and mountain views followed by a delicious dinner at Akarua Wines with a Kitchen by Artisan.
As their Queenstown wedding planner, we were chatting and planning the big day for months about the various logistics and decisions to make. As Niro loves the sweet little details, we spent a good deal of time on the gorgeous styling components, which turned out absolutely stunning. We opted for simple but stunning ceremony decor featuring a draped and flowered wooden archway, a petal aisle and bar of sweet-treats for after the ceremony.
We then planned for an Al Fresco dinner under a canopy of fairy lights, plus organised woven linen napkins, gorgeous stationery, punny tags for mini honey jars, antique candle holders and flower-filled lanterns for the reception. With rain threatening, we still decided to push on and keep the party outside – cue blankets and umbrellas to stave off any roque raindrops.
Did we already mention the sweet treats? Niro happens to LOVE cake (um…who doesn’t, right?!) so organised a special birthday cake for Shamaun, to go alongside their wedding cake and dessert. Everyone went home with very full tummies plus a full and happy heart, after a sparkler exit.
