Jessie and Andrew adventured to Wanaka in mid-September for their New Zealand Elopement at Coromandel Peak. We were graced with a picture-perfect afternoon for their Mountain Wedding overlooking Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps.
Pre-flight
We had a tender and emotional First Look at their accommodation, followed by some sweet portraits of the bride and groom-to-be along with two of their good friends, who were chosen as special witnesses to their elopement. Jessie had cute customised mugs made to mark the occasion, which were sitting pretty waiting for the group to enjoy some Fireball Whiskey on the mountain – a fun twist on your typical champagne toast!
Coromandel Peak
As it was early spring, our late-afternoon flight was ideal timing for an incredible golden hour up on Coromandel Peak, with warm, golden rays of light dancing over the hillside and making for some very special moments in front of the camera. We also had a dusting of snow around the mountains, which always makes for a gorgeous background. There was a little wind around, stirring up Lake Wanaka and making for some nice movement in the photos.
Mid-ceremony and during the vows, a gust of wind came through and blew Jessie’s veil away, ha! Luckily for us, we managed to rescue Jessie’s veil, which was a perfect accessory to her amazing two-piece dress from Calèche Bridal House and incredible Old Gringo cowboy boots from Texas.
Congrats again to Jessie and Andrew and thanks for having us on your mountain adventure xxx
