As their Queenstown wedding planners, Charlotte and Whitneys’s intimate destination wedding was a total joy to be a part of. The main affair
Flying out into the Southern Alps to Mt Vanguard provided a breath-taking setting for a snowy ceremony. We were treated to with mountains upon mountains to look over, and tonnes of snow to play in. Whitney had a stunning two-piece gown from Chosen By One Day with fur from Unreal Fur, while Char was in a drop-dead gorgeous white tailored suit with Doc Martins.
August is a pretty special time in Queenstown as we get some incredible bluebird weather while the mountains are wearing their winter jackets! The freezing temperatures can be something to contend with but with Char and Whit being keen snowboarders, they were pretty acclimatised! Luckily with the sun on their shoulders and a ceremony absolutely filled with love and personality, we were all plenty warm.
After party
After touching down, the newly-weds headed to Otautahi Tattoos for a little nod to the occasion before returning to The Sherwood for an intimate dinner with friends and family. Gypsy from The Vase had created stunning florals for their bouquet and headpiece and had the romantic, deep hues carry on into the reception. This was combined with modern styling with bold typeface, strong textures with metallics, velvets and natural woods. All complemented by the venue itself, the combination made for a ridiculously romantic evening.
