Let’s get married!
Katie and Jamie weren’t ones for the scale and fuss of a big wedding, so decided to book their own Mountain Wedding and enlist me as Queenstown-based wedding stylist. Shortening the guest list and dreaming of different mountain locations, the pair loved Bayonet Peaks. From there, with just their nearest and dearest, we were quick-footed and flexible. Due to high winds on the day of the wedding, we need up bringing the helicopter flight forward by about two hours. Katie was darting out the door after her hair and makeup was finished, to catch a helicopter ride to her man! Landing at a sheltered spot on Bayonet Peaks meant the breezy weather wasn’t a concern for guests and the lovely ceremony went off without a hitch.
With the intimate reception, we had the space and budget to play with a myriad of gorgeous details for their dinner celebration. (Delicious place settings for 14 guests in contrast to 100 guests means an easier “yes” to some of those smaller details!) I was honoured to have Katie’s full trust to style the day around her inspiration. I was able to play with lots of pretty things to bring it all together – make sure you keep scrolling to take a peek!
Katie’s bouquet has already caused a stir amongst the Queenstown wedding scene with several brides altering their inspiration to match Katie’s style! 🙂
Congrats!
Live vicariously through the special occasion with brilliant photos captured by Warren of Williams Photography! And feel free to take a page out of Katie and Jamie’s wedding: Plan the wedding YOU want and then you can truly soak up the day and celebrate with your loved ones.
Sending love, joy, laughter and adventure to Katie and Jamie. It was my absolute joy to be your wedding stylist and help bring the celebration together. Congratulations!!!

Let’s feast and party!
Taking a modern and fresh approach to a more bohemian style, we brought the dinner party to life with lovely textures, neutral colours and golden accents. Around the fire we had rattan furniture from Star Bar Queenstown, lawn games and a delicious grazing board and “Flying Ginger” spritzer by our hosts, Artisan Catering. Complete with blush pink cushions and soft throws, all sourced from within my own styling archives.
Doilie patterned placemats, linen napkins, stone charger plates and delightful bundles of dried foliage made for each guest’s place setting at dinner. We then had gorgeous flower creations with orchids, anthuriums, roses, bunny tails and grasses, plus a few sweet candles. The night was filled with delicious food and incredible views, all in celebration of Katie and Jamie’s sweet love and new adventure together.
